Mixed Blends

So, I had planned a fab date night and I felt like I had nothing to wear, so off to the thrift store I went! I found these amazing high-waist paints that were this beautiful rod brown color. They were a little long, so I did the honors and rolled them to my liking. Next, I found a girly plum lace top that I adored, with a key whole back (sorry I forgot to get a picture of that!). With the two colors together I managed to create a color-blocked piece, tying everything together with a cool blue belt. Interestingly enough, this outfit was a little out of my comfort zone; I'm normally "matchy" when it comes to my wear, but this night, I wanted to be fashion forward, and have my own sense of identity. What do you think??? Happy shopping!

A Little Birthday Celebration

Fashionist!! Greetings! Oh, how I've missed thee!! My posts, have been far and few between, but my 'glam-joe' is back, and I'm ready to share with you my latest looks! Below, is one from my blog twin Tish's birthday celebration. We had a blast, and this little red Bebe skirt added to the hype. I already love the bandage material, but I fell for this skirt, when I noticed the shorter middle section. I placed it with a black and white striped peplum top from Targe' and added my BCBG black jacket. Oh... and how could I ever forget my white patent leather clutch from White House Black Market; totally caught this one at Goodwill for $2, original tag still in place! Happy shopping!

Country City Girl

Spending most of my time in the south, I can't help but dress like the down home country girl that I am. So I traded in my pumps for some boots and threw on a hat. With a crop top and a funky printed skirt, I let the wind set the scene.

A Day at Saks...

So we already established that the Lafayette 148 Fall 2013 collection presentation at Saks was phenomenal, so it would only be right to share how we chose to dress for the event. Shayla wore a black and white striped peplum top with black cropped pants and wedges. Tish wore a high waist red pant with nude colored blouse with open toe flats.

Fashion Show Fabulous

Last night I was lucky enough to attend to the Atlanta International Fashion Week Charity Fashion Show. The show was filled with designs for women and children from local designers. The event was held at none other than the fabulous 200 Peachtree which boasted marble floors and illustrious chandeliers. I decided to keep it simple with a high waste olive tone wide-legged trouser and lace crop top with my favorite accessory, my leopard print shoes. I thought I would and some spunk to the soft ensemble by pairing it with a studded clutch and spiked earrings:)

Geometrics 101

I don't know about anyone else but I love a print full of shapes and colors. Vintage clothes always do great at delivering on these. This gives you so many options to choose from when styling. Simply pick a color from the print to accessorize with and choose a neutral to balance everything. Plus the neutral helps the print to pop!!!
