Speaking Volumes

"Fashion is a way to say who you are without having to speak." -Rachel Zoe

Obviously this quote is metaphorically speaking, but I chose to literally spell it out in this fun and fashionable skirt. The "Letters Fitted Skirt" from J3sixteen seen here is a great way to live up to miss Zoe's saying. I played with the idea of mixing patterns with the same color pallet by adding a striped blazer to the skirt. If you want to go for an even more fun summer time fit, lose the jacket and just rock a tank for simplicity. With a subtle red lip and bold red clutch for color, this ensemble definitely says a lot.

A Day at Saks...

So we already established that the Lafayette 148 Fall 2013 collection presentation at Saks was phenomenal, so it would only be right to share how we chose to dress for the event. Shayla wore a black and white striped peplum top with black cropped pants and wedges. Tish wore a high waist red pant with nude colored blouse with open toe flats.

A Life Destroyed....

I went out to lunch with a buddy of mine the other day and decided I wanted to be comfortable. So I went with the obvious choice of a super stretchy destroyed high waist denim jean, and traded in my pumps for combat boots which are a hit this summer. I kept it simple with stripes on top and added in a touch of red for a pop of color.

Stipes and Florals, Oh My!

Mixing prints is one of my favorite things to do! I love this look of a yellow striped top with floral heels. I paired it with a black blazer to help complete the look. Similar blazer here , top Old Navy, pants , shoes from fancyfeet.

Leave your blog in the comments where you've mixed prints too!

Happy blogging loves!
